What are the pros and cons of reading PDF books?
Reading anything on screen hurts my eyes after a few hours. It got so bad that I would literally have to wear sunglasses or some from of glare protection to keep my eyes from hurting. I prefer to read the old fashion way which is holding a book and turning the pages. Itâs more comfortable for me though I canât speak for anyone else. Itâs hard to explain but I have a stronger bond with reading a book than getting that same information in another format. books have pages you can physically turn, artwork you can physically see and feel on the cover, and a finished product in the palm of your hands that the author poured their heart and soul into. Idk, books just feel authentic like youâre getting it from the main source instead of a web page you can only see but not feel. Now, if youâre talking about printing a pdf file and turning it into a book, then yes, it would be closer to the real thing. -Otto
Alter PDF: All You Need to Know
Berkeley I bought a book called “The 4-Hour Body” for 16.95 on Amazon that included an eight-page section to read while walking. When it was time to actually do something, I found that my eyes refused to focus for the whole time I was walking! I found it a little hard to read in one sitting because I kept having to readjust my focus and read with increasing visual distraction for fifteen minutes. Then I bought an iPhone and decided to read an audiobook, so I could concentrate for the whole fifteen minutes. I still found it hard to keep my eye on the plot. —Paul Choose I do read books with a screen because I have to get the information quickly, I can't read on a computer—I only get things like headlines and pictures, and I don't need all that much detail. It takes me forever to read on.
